SR610 BRAD DAVIES SPITS ON THE TED WILLIAMS STORY

BRAD GOES OFF ON TED WILLIAMS

I use to regard Brad Davie as the "point guard" of a show, a person that usually set up his co host(s).  Sunday night, Brad exposed himself as a "class war fare" person.  A caller by the name of Rudy called and told Brad he didn't appreciate the way Brad spoke about Ted Williams because he (Rudy) himself was also on the streets and worked himself back into a good social standing.

Brad Davie basically went on a rant about how his friends worked their tails off in this business and some of them out of work and to hear about this homeless person getting a break is a joke.

Brad reminds of that group of people that has a problem with affirmative action but legacy systems in college is tolerable.  In other words, the person that has a problem with  Joe Smith getting a full ride at Rice is bad but if Biff Scott got into Yale because his daddy is CFO at Exxon and sits on multiple boards of fortune five hundred companies, that's cool.  How can Brad spit on the Ted Williams without equally going after the former athletes turned broadcasters in his trade?  Do Brad have a problem with ND Kalu, Eric Winston, Michael Strahan, Terry Bradshaw, Dan Marino?  I don't know anything about Ted Williams but from all accounts this dude is a skilled broadcaster not a former professional athletes jumping into a trade on celebrity.  I fully understand Brad's passion about his colleagues out of work but you can't knock this guy because he got a break.  HMW wants to know how Brad feel about people not season in radio getting breaks?
