December is the season for festivities - religious ones, social ones,
astronomical ones, and even concocted ones like Festivus (please see Wikipedia, if you're not a "Seinfeld" fan).

It is also the time when we turn the calendar and move to a new year that will, hopefully, be as good as or even better than the one that is ending.


Here in the Peanut Gallery, the festivities focus on celebrating
Hanukkah, Christmas, and welcoming in the New Year.

Recognizing that others will celebrate other things, allow me to offer wishes for all HMW readers to enjoy their celebrations and that everyone find 2011 to be a healthy and safe year and may the teams that you root for have a winning season.
