THE CRIER'S BCS ELIMINATION TOURNAMENT:

WEEK #4: AND THEN THERE WERE SEVEN LITTLE INDIANS, AS THREE MORE TEAMS GET ELIMINATED!

The Crier’s playoff elimination tournament started three weekends ago with 28 teams and saw 18 of those teams get knocked out during the first three weeks.

Now you can add three more teams that find themselves out of the "Bigger Dance", as they lost during Week #4 of the tourney. This week's losers included #2 Missouri, #7 Florida State, and #8 Michigan State.

There were no head-to-head match-ups this week between tourney teams. For the season, The Crier is 5-5 SU and 6-4 ATS cumulative after four weeks of this unique tournament.

Please be reminded again that according to tournament rules, all tourney losers this week are out of the hunt no matter how well they play the remainder of the season.

As mentioned previously, the purpose of these rankings is to determine the top two teams standing as of December 4. Hopefully, the BCS people will have the same two teams as "The Crier" for their championship game when all is said and done.

Below are the results of this past week (#10 Wisconsin was idle).

Rank -Team - Record – Opponent – Score

1 Oregon (8-0) beat USC, 53-32
2 Missouri (7-1) lost to Nebraska, 31-17
3 TCU (9-0) beat UNLV, 48-6
4 Boise State (7-0) beat Louisiana Tech, 49-20
5 Auburn (9-0) beat Mississippi, 51-31
6 Stanford (7-1) beat Washington, 41-0
7 Florida State (6-2) lost to North Carolina State, 28-24
8 Michigan State (8-1) lost to Iowa, 37-6
9 Utah (8-0) beat Air Force, 28-23
10 Wisconsin (7-1) DNP

Of the remaining seven teams, there are none from the Big East and the ACC, which are the two weakest of the six supposed "BCS Conferences", as well as none from the Big 12.

Of the remaining BCS Conferences, the PAC 10 is represented by Oregon and Stanford; the SEC  is represented by Auburn; and the Big 10 is represented by Wisconsin.

Of the non-BCS Conference schools, TCU and Utah represent the Mountain West while Boise State represents the WAC. TCU plays at Utah next Saturday, so one of them will be eliminated from the tourney. After that, none of the remaining teams are involved in head-to-head matchups.

On Tuesday, the revised rankings of the remaining seven teams will be posted here. Please note that there are no head-to-head match-ups next week.

NBA ACTION

Yesterday’s Record ATS: 3-0
Cumulative Season Record ATS: 11-4

Today’s Game (for reading purposes only):

L.A. CLIPPERS* (+5) over DALLAS

Take home pups here. Both teams come off a road game 48 hours earlier, but the Clips travel about an hour in the air after shooting just 38% from the floor and Dallas had to fly from Texas. Dallas has to hope Tyson Chandler can stay put and help in the low post and he did lead the team in bounds in the loss to Memphis Friday. The Clips are no longer patsies with a solid frontcourt. Blake Griffin is 2 for 2 with double/doubles this year, but was in foul trouble Friday and Baron Davis is making good decisions. LOS ANGELES, 105-103
