My honest, ubiased opinion regarding PPF would that you should not remove your money from PPF. Its is very stable, it pays the highest interest and you dont have to manage it. Forget about it for 20 odd years and you will have a substantial amount accumulated in your account. You will withdraw it and blow it away, thats what most of the people end up doing.
That being said, if you still want to withdraw from your account or close your account, its really very simple. There is a one page form you need to fill out, and you will get the money fairly quickly. You DONT have to pay money to get it. I did not pay and neither did anyone i know.
This is something in india that works well for millions of working class people and its much better than the SS mess that is here.

Meaning, a I-140 petition needs to be filed within 60 days from labor approval date....If immigrant visa numbers are unavailable (dates retrogressed), you wont be able to file your I-140/I-485 concurrently but you can file your I-140 petition irrespective of your priority date as long as you have a labor approved. You dont have to apply for your labor again and again....Its just that, once you get your I-140 approved, you will have to wait for dates to become current to file I-485...

Xtended Computer Attachment Syndrome (XCAS). Like AIDS, it doesn't have any known cures - Big Medicine doesn't have anything it can sell to protect you from it or help you overcome it if you are in fact "infected" with it.

I think some of the people on this forum should be diagnosed for click�O�mania. Basically what it means is developing impatience and restlessness qualities as a result of using computer and mouse over an extended period of time. It makes a patient believe that results should be expected within few minutes after initiating any activity just like the click of a mouse does. Examples are on-line credit card payments, rental payments, electricity, telephone, cell phone, cable bill payments, money transfers to name a few. Over period of time when you the patient gets used to these habits, he tries to extend the same logic to other walks of life. Expect results within few minutes. What the click�O�maniac does not understand is certain things in life requires some amount of time in terms of weeks and patience to complete. Even though he/she knows that USCIS is going to receive about � million applications by Aug 17th and receipting of 485 applications is going to take long time, he/she can not resist pressing F5 button on bank statement URL, USCIS press room URL, immigration voice URL, on line case status URL, email account URL and what not URLs. So, someone is trying to contact CSR every day about the receipt status, verifying if checks are cashed or checking LUD on previously approved certifications on hourly basis, it is not his or her fault. Culprit is this undiagnosed disease. If untreated, he/she may be desperate for the finger print notice date in near future. After the finger print notice date, it may be FP notice acceptance date or LUD on case status.
If treated, he realizes that how deep he went into this GC well and how far is away from life on earth and thanks his stars for not remaining as a frog in a well.
How to treat: Do your karma and do not expect results.

dear members,
dint had much time to go thro' your responses. but if senior ppl are targetting this fellow( mercies) for this thread, then i beg to differ. because as a member of IV, i have been answering "hadron" posts too at immigration portal.
I think all Mercies is trying to do is help IV out, by preparing answers of such questions which stupid ppl ask, so they can be put to a stop right away. Probably he's drawing your attention to some q's that all of you have answers for, just guide mercies to that post,
but i think all of your remarks have been directed towards merices only as if he's started it all.
i guess we outta stop ppl who are trying to defame this collective effort by giving them one-point answers.

Guys, there is real substance to what oscarzumaran says as well......
It is not fair to shout at him unless u understand the issue bereft of any emotions.
I think the AZ is the right thing to force illegal immigrants out of AZ since its bringing the economy down to its knees.
Moreover the AZ law is excatly the same as the current Federal law, its just that AZ is implementing it thru a state law, so why shd the feds object to it.
If you folks think that AZ law is wrong then why should other sanctuary states who prevent illegals from been sent back be allowed to pre-empt the fed law , even these states should be challenged.
We legal citizens are required by fed law to carry legal docs at any time(even though u may not like it), AZ is just enforcing the law
IV is all about legal immigration and does not support illegal immigration as I know it, Its a folly to think that if we support the feds they will support legal immigration and give GC's faster......Can anyone be 100% sure that the politicians will not drop the legal provisions from CIR just to get some votes to get the illegal immigrations laws in CIR thru......havent u seen how the healthcare bill was passed

No. I am not anti-immigrant. I am anti-illegal immigrant. I know the AZ law very well coz I read it not like many who seem to listen to talk radio. Good opinions can be formed only with good knowledge and we don't need evryone to have an opinion. Most should only subscribe to an opinion otherwise there will only be infighting and no progress.
President Obama just lost a good chance to gain democratic majority in Nov. Now people are saying....why is the fed govt. not letting a state protect its citizens?
Also the fact that a lawsuit is brought against AZ shows that the real wider immigration issue is not to be touched.

I am wondering everybody here is throwing stones at small consulting companies, I wonder how these people came to US surely somebody did there H1? right? People are working in big companies HP/Oracle/SAP bla bla.. but I'm sure they are not the ones who brought you guys here. Also the day they'll get their green cards each of these people are going to open similar companies and do the same thing. This is amazing how people forget their past and forget the people who brought them here...I will call you guys thankless....

so is it the notice date or recipt date that counts.. If someone filed on July 2nd, but the notice date is August 15, where do I coutn 180 days from.

Wrong !! I work for IBM and IBM just recently outsourced almost all the PM's and SDM's job to India only ( Not to China because of English speaking ability ). IBM got tonnes of skilled MBA's with english speaking. As of now hardly I see any PM's from US during calls. But I admire you for all the other points. well said.

However, for implementation projects MBA's are never considered better than PMP's, however they are at par. MBA with PMP is a unique combination and it will help your career growth. Yes i too have a MBA with PMP.
However, you said one important aspect of a Project manager, i.e. communication. The PM needs to have a good command over English communication, both speaking and writing, otherwise life will be a struggle. Many of the Indian, Chinese, Korean and other people from Asian countries have a very strong accent with their English communication....which can become a hinderance in getting the top job. Also note that a PMP will get a job if he is technically qualified and has a PMP, however for the top jobs your soft skills like communication, people skills and networking takes precedence.

I am currently on H1B visa and I want to switch the company. New company is not willing to do H1B transfer and want me to work on EAD. I have pending I485 EB3 ROW with priority date of March 2006. Its been more than 180 days that I filed for I485 so I can use AC21 with EAD.
But my question is how risky will it be if I switch job at this stage with EAD?

Did anyone got LUD on their I-140? I have an LUD on my I-140 on 04/20/2008. Most of the people got their LUD on 07/13/2008.

Didnt think this would be so easy - My apologies to everyone for being a lazy person before - from the time of my last post till now, I've been able to get another 12 more webfaxes done through my friends and now they are talking to their friends ( not the common ones ) to get more faxes.
