FYI, I got my RFE today too and it is for the same exact thing as my wife's, which I shared yesterday below.
I got LUD 2/17 and 2/18, same for my wife, 2/17 was RFE message, got my wife's RFE in mail today it was for a serological HIV test which was supposedly required but was not done.
Have yet to receive my RFE yet, hopefully tomorrow.

If this is true, how come CIR is one of the main agendas of democratic party. Also remember hispanic votes were a deciding factor in the last election. GOP acknowledges that. Moreover voters demographics has changed since last election. Electorate is comprised of higher percentage of forward thinking younger generation.
IMO anti-immigrant racist voter percentage will be on decline in coming years. So democrats/gop is better off catering to the likes of this younger generation.
Actually it is like the "Gareebi Hatao" (translation: Remove Poverty) slogan for the Democratic party. Something to be used in certain districts for election only.
Just like Gay Marriage issue for Republican party.
In fact Rahm Emanuel (key strategist of the democratic party and one of the people credited for the success of the Democratic party in the election) said immigration
is the third rail of American politics.
It is the independent voters that decide a election, not the core democratic(ultra liberal) or core republican(ultra right wing) supporters. Passing an CIR will piss off
a significant portion of these independents and will create a swing against the Democratic party. A very small swing can create devastating losses in the swing

easyvishwak, there is a common disclaimer in any of the internet forums that you take the information with a pinch of salt. people post their experiences, whether to follow or not is totally your call. Next time, I wont be so polite when writing my response because you mentioned some unnecessary things in your response to my post. The only thing seems to be happening is that they are transferring cases from NSC/TSC to CSC/VSC for EADs, APs and I-485s for data entry and EAD/AP approval.
CSC seems to be doing a great job at that (received EADs and APs in exactly 60 days). Once these are issues and the I-485 data is fed in, the I-485 jurisdiction is passed back to NSC/TSC (wherever your I-485 originated from).
I am still waiting on my I-140 approval (filed in March 2007)...hoping to get it by around end of year.

visit your senator's website. Look for links for "casework". Look for contact person for immigration. Call your senator's office at that number. Explain your problem. They will ask you to write a letter giving your case information and requesting them to find out the status. Some senator offices may require you to fill some form in a format pertinent to them with the intention of giving the senator's office permission to inquire on your behalf and to give access to your personal information.
Once they have letter from you they will contact USCIS on your behalf. They will tell you by when they will hear back from USCIS. Make sure you do not call them repeatedly, call them when they ask you to call them or call them after a reasonable amount of time i.e. 2 weeks.

We have shown the CA (Chartered Accountncy) equivalent to both a US bachelor's degree and a US Masters degree with an expert opinion letter. As far as I know they have all been approved. We have detailed research and we suggest the attorney cite it in the brief as well because that makes the case even stronger than just citing it in an evaluation or expert opinion letter.

I tried to recruit 3 guys with 7-8 yrs of experience. We already have a 12 member offshore team...the average asking rate (H1s and citizens) is 90K ..H1B quota restriction is working in our favor very much. Market rate for IT professionals has increased quite handsomely..put ur resume out to dice or monster and see for urselves.
this 90k is in which part of the US? A salary number without specifying geography is pretty hard to rate :)

You mean to say that "Those who have EAD with PD 2006/2007" needs green Card and you dont bother about PD 2000-2005 from Backlog who never got a chance to apply i-485 ?

Always check with your state chapters.
State chapter leaders are more aware of our work than what we post on the forum for public.
There is lot of activity going on at this time. Everyone must join their state chapters to actively participate in IV effort.

Its not only for illegals but its also for kids of legals that aged out due to retrogression or backlogs in visas...plz don't be selfish with view points like "it doesnt help us so im gonna oppose it"....instead help the children who aged out due to the visa backlogs!!! I need some help with my daughter�s EAD and AP renewal (e-filing) applications.
Here are the details. She came to US on H4 (I am the primary applicant, on H1B). As she was going to age-out in July 2007, she was transferred to F1 in April 2007. Fortunately, she was able to file I-485 in June, 2007 and got her EAD and AP. In 2008 she went abroad and came back to US using AP.
For I-765 EAD renewal (e-filing) what should be her response to following questions?
1. Manner of entry to US (visitor, student etc.)
2. Current Immigration Status (visitor, student etc.)
3. Please select your eligibility status
Similarly, for I-131 AP renewal (e-filing) what should be her response to following questions?
1. Class of admission
2. Date of intended departure
3. Expected length of trip
Also, for AP renewal does she need to write a letter to USCIS? If so, can someone provide the format of the letter?
